Noah Project in Abilene, TX is hiring a Part-Time Cook/Housekeeping Specialist for a split schedule with Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The role combines meal preparation for shelter clients with cleaning and maintenance of the facility.

Under the Operations Director, you will assist with laundry, room cleaning, and kitchen duties as needed, while ensuring safety, sanitation, and timely service. A Food Handlers certification is required or obtainable within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers certification within 30 days of hire.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as part of duties.
• Willingness to train in areas of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms, bedrooms, common areas and staff spaces to keep facility tidy.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for shelter clients when assigned to kitchen.
• Wash, dry, fold, and store linens and maintain kitchen inventory.
• Keep kitchen, pantry and walk-in refrigerator organized and inspection-ready.
• Assist with laundry, room cleaning, and other housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with Operations staff and report to the Operations Director.
