Job summary

Graybar in Irving, TX seeks a Warehouse Material Handler to receive, store, select, pack and ship heavy industrial products. You will operate Bendi trucks, forklifts and related equipment while following safety procedures in a union-aware, employee-owned environment.

Great candidates will have 2+ years of warehouse experience, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and a strong commitment to safety. Part-time daytime to evening shifts offered with competitive starting pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse safety practices and procedures.
• Experience operating Bendi trucks, forklifts, reach trucks or Aisle Master preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred; ability to lift heavy materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment including Bendi trucks, forklifts, reach trucks, Aisle Master equipment, pallet jacks and push carts.
• Receive, store, move conduit, electrical materials and other heavy industrial products.
• Pack, palletize, and prepare shipments; conduct cycle counts and keep area clean.

Are you ready?As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will ensure products get where they need to be. You will receive, store, select, pack, and ship warehouse inventory, including conduit, electrical materials, and other heavy industrial products.Our Service Center utilizes a Warehouse Management System, so technology is required to perform this job. The ideal candidate has experience operating specialized material handling equipment and demonstrates a strong commitment to safety in a warehouse environment.As an employee-owned company, our employees are key to our success and are given opportunities to learn and grow into higher level positions.Work Shift and Hours:Monday - Friday, Part-Time day shift hours between 7:00am - 4:00pmMonday - Friday, Part-Time evening shift, 4:00pm - 8:00pmCompensation Details:The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $19.00 per hour, more depending on experience.In this role you will:Operate warehouse equipment including Bendi trucks, forklifts, reach trucks, Aisle Master equipment, pallet jacks, and push cartsReceive, store, and move conduit, electrical materials, and other heavy industrial products using warehouse equipmentReceive and store incoming material in accordance with warehouse management system processesSelect, pack, palletize, and prepare shipments for deliverySort and pack less-than-truckload shipments and conduct cycle countsMaintain a clean and organized warehouse while following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspectionsWhat you bring to the table:Strong safety mindset and commitment to safe work practicesExperience operating Bendi trucks, forklifts, reach trucks, and/or Aisle Master equipment preferredExperience working with electrical supplies, conduit, industrial products, or similar materials preferredNo fear of heightsAbility to perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment, including lifting heavy materials, cutting wire, climbing ladders, and working in varying temperatures; must pass pre-employment physical testingMinimum age of 18 requiredGood attendance and strong work ethic2+ years of warehouse experience preferredPrior large warehouse experience using a warehouse management system preferredWhy should you join Graybar?At Graybar, our employees are the heart and soul of our company.
