Job summary

True Connection Communities-Verena at the Glen in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a part-time Server to deliver a best-in-class dining experience. You will greet residents, take orders, relay to kitchen staff, and ensure timely service during shifts from 7am to 2:15pm seven days a week with open availability for 3-4 shifts.

Responsibilities include serving meals, attending to guests, and maintaining clean dining areas. Prior food service and a positive, customer-focused attitude are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Excellent listening skills and detail oriented.
• Able to ask appropriate questions to deliver the best service possible.
• Experience in hospitality, healthcare or service environment preferred.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers.
• Takes food and drink orders from customers and answers questions about menu items.
• Relays customers’ orders to other kitchen staff.
• Serves food and drinks to customers.
• Cleans assigned work areas, such as dining tables or serving counters.
• Stocks service stations, cabinets, and tables.
• Sets tables or prepares food stations for new customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
