Job summary

Johnnies Jazz Bar & Grille in Liberty, MO is seeking a friendly Server to provide outstanding guest service in a fast-paced restaurant setting. You will take and deliver orders, ensure accuracy, process payments, and maintain a clean, welcoming dining area.

You will greet guests, suggest menu items, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service. Flexibility with shifts and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Grand Island, NE).
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with bussers, cooks, and team members.
• Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
• Must complete online alcohol service training.
• Must have a valid Food Handler's Certification as required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a welcoming and professional manner.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
• Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system.
• Relay orders to kitchen and bar staff with clear communication.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns.
• Process payments accurately (cash and card).
• Prepare and itemize guest checks including sales tax.
• Assist with food prep tasks as needed.
• Perform pre/post-shift duties and maintain a clean workspace.
