Job summary

Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club in Coral Gables, FL seeks a Part-Time Server to provide attentive guest service in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Responsibilities include greeting guests, describing daily specials, taking orders, delivering meals, handling payments, and maintaining a clean workstation.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and some related experience; completion of food safety and alcohol awareness training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages (implicit in role).
• Knowledge of POS system and wine/food service best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day to guests and offers menu suggestions.
• Takes and delivers food and beverage orders to guests promptly after preparation.
• Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Maintains organized workstation and handles cash transactions.
• Utilizes Point of Sale System and follows service standards.
