Job summary

Meals on Wheels People is seeking a part-time server at The Diner in Vancouver, WA, offering 30 hours per week with Wednesday through Sunday shifts. The role includes greeting guests, taking orders, and delivering meals while upholding service standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; culinary certification preferred.
• Current Food Handler’s card or ability to obtain one upon hire.
• Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain certification within 18 months of hire.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal food sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders, and deliver meals.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and food regulations.
• Prepare tables and manage side work.
• Attend to customers during visit.
• Present menus and help customers select food/beverages.
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth service.
• Respond to customer complaints professionally.
• Weekend availability may be required.
• Attend scheduled meetings and support organizational goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
