Job summary

The Lodge at Bodega Bay is seeking a part-time Restaurant Server/Bartender to join the Food and Beverage team. You will greet guests, present menus, answer questions and coordinate beverage and food service to ensure an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities include entering orders into POS, preparing beverages to specifications, and assisting with banquet events. Applicants should have high school diploma and relevant certifications; English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards.
• Ability to recite and promote a variety of menu items.
• Knowledge of wine/spirits/alcoholic beverages and how to prepare them.
• Able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to deal with customer complaints in a friendly and proactive manner.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to move through a crowded room.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests in a friendly manner.
• Presents menus, answers questions, and makes food/beverage suggestions.
• Take and relay orders accurately; enter into POS.
• Prepare beverages to specifications and serve courses from kitchen/bars.
• Explain specials and describe preparation.
• Monitor stations to meet guest needs; respond to requests.
• Total bills, handle payments, and balance cash.
• Assist or lead service for Banquet events; setup and teardown.
• Adhere to safety, hygiene and hotel standards.
