Job summary

City of Everett seeks a part-time van driver to transport adults 60+ to and from the Connolly/Senior Center in a 12-passenger van with a wheelchair lift.

Responsibilities include safe operation, assisting passengers, completing paperwork, and possibly light kitchen duties. Requires a high school diploma, MA Class D license, and training in safety and first aid. CORI/SORI background check is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school education or GED.
• Experience driving a passenger van with safety awareness.
• Valid Massachusetts Class D driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must complete required safety trainings (Passenger Assistance, Defensive Driving, CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens).

Responsibilities

• Inspect the van prior to operation and report safety issues.
• Fuel and maintain the van and keep it clean.
• Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations.
• Assist passengers to enter/exit the van and secure wheelchairs as needed.
• Operate the vehicle safely and follow traffic laws.
• Complete rider logs and required paperwork; report accidents promptly.
