Job summary

ASE Group, a boutique CPA firm in Northern NJ, is seeking a Senior Tax Expert to prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns, advise clients, and contribute to tax planning and strategy. The role offers a flexible schedule with 20–25 hours per week and a performance-based bonus.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in accounting/tax, a Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting or finance, and a detail-oriented, client-centric approach. Located in NJ/NY/CT/PA area preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, tax or finance.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/tax/finance.
• Senior Tax Expert with ability to handle complex returns and advise clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex federal and state returns (1040, 1065, 1120S).
• Review tax returns prepared by junior staff.
• Calculate quarterly estimated taxes and remit payments for select clients.
• Participate in tax planning, advisory calls, and client onboarding.
• Assist with tax resolution matters and entity consultations.
