Job summary

JASA is seeking a Part-Time Food Service Technician at the HES Older Adult Center in New York. You will assist with food preparation, packaging, and serving meals to older adults in a clean and safe environment while following health regulations.

The role offers a 20-hour weekday schedule (Monday–Friday, 10 AM–2 PM). Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and prior food service experience is preferred. Training and certification assistance provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in food service, kitchen, cafeteria, or senior services a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion meals for service.
• Package meals and assist with daily meal prep.
• Serve meals to participants and maintain hygiene in service areas.
• Receive, store, and rotate food deliveries; monitor inventory.
• Maintain a clean kitchen, dining, and related program spaces.
