Walnut Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care is hiring a part-time Cook in Kentwood, MI. This hands-on role focuses on advanced food preparation for residents with special dietary guidelines, collaborating with a team to ensure quality and safety in a care setting.

The position involves managing production, ensuring nutrition and palatability, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Prior institutional cooking experience and ServSafe certification are preferred.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year experience demonstrates ability to cook a variety of foods in quantity.
• One year experience with care and use of cooking utensils/equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and move 3–4 feet.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare all food items in accordance with departmental standards, maintaining nutrition, appearance and temperature.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, including dishes, floors and surfaces, and ensure sanitation.
• Guide staff to ensure smooth and timely food preparation and service.
• Assist in serving, catering, ordering and receiving food as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and training as required.
