Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in gerontology, recreation therapy, or social work is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate activities such as arts and crafts, games, outings, and social events with the team.
• Facilitate activities to promote resident engagement, cognitive stimulation, and socialization.
• Assist with planning and executing special events like birthdays and holidays.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to activity program development.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff members.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and participation.
• Collaborate with therapy and wellness to provide holistic care.
