Job summary

Americare Senior Living’s St. Clair Nursing Center in St. Clair, MO is seeking an energetic Activity Assistant / Coordinator for part-time 20 hours.

You’ll plan, organize, and lead recreational activities to enhance residents’ well-being. You will collaborate with the care team to tailor activities to individual abilities, support events, and document participation, helping create a warm, inclusive community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional education related to activities, recreation, or life enrichment preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport residents.
• Compassionate, creative and resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, facilitating, and directing recreational activity programs
• Support resident engagement through group and one-on-one activities
• Adapt activities to meet individual resident abilities, interests, and care plans
• Encourage resident participation and social interaction
• Assist with special events, celebrations, and community outings
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
• Maintain documentation related to resident participation as required

• Follow all facility, state, and federal guidelines related to resident engagement
