Job summary

Licking County Aging Program is seeking a Home Repair Specialist to assist seniors with essential residential maintenance, safety improvements, and light upkeep in their homes and agency facilities.

The role requires reliable attendance, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and the ability to perform light carpentry and maintenance tasks. This part-time position includes evenings/weekends as needed and aligns with community service goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and minimum auto insurance.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Physical capability to meet job demands.
• Dependable with regular attendance and ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform light carpentry, drain unclogging, wall repairs, bulb/fuse replacement, hanging items.
• Move appliances and furniture as needed.
• Clean carpets and furniture surfaces.
• Power wash decks, steps, and ramps.
• Shovel and salt sidewalks.
• Install/replace mailbox, post, and house numbers.
• Seasonal outdoor yard and lot maintenance.
• Install detectors and replace furnace filters.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools; reorder as needed.
• Wear PPE as required.
• Weatherproof windows/doors; install screens.
• Heavy household cleaning and upkeep.
• Perform other routine maintenance duties.
