Job summary

Camden County Board of Commissioners is seeking staff for the Senior Center to support daily operations, assist with activities, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for participants. The role involves serving meals, supervising activities, and helping with fundraising events in a busy senior-centered setting.

The position requires good communication, organization, and the ability to interact respectfully with seniors.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with high school or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service and working with the public is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with crafts, activities, events, and gardening.
• Prepare coffee, set up dining area and serve food.
• Maintain temperature records/logs and cleanliness of dining room and kitchen.
• Explain rules of activities and supervise seniors during events and trips.
• Assist with fundraising activities such as craft sales and bake sales.
• Conduct outreach to inform seniors about services and programs.
