Job summary

UCFS Healthcare in Eastern CT is seeking a compassionate Resident Caregiver to join our team. The role supports Sheltering Arms residents under the direction of the Resident Attendant Supervisor, focusing on personal care, monitoring needs and comfort.

Part-Time, 16 hours per week, with 2:00pm-10:00pm and 10:00pm-6:00am shifts; weekends and holidays as scheduled. We value teamwork, respect, and patient-centered care in a community setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of healthcare experience with individuals preferred.
• HHA/CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand residents' physical, emotional, and developmental needs and proper ways to work with the population served.
• Document daily rounds by observing, reporting, and documenting changes; create reports as required.
• Administer medications; assist with treatments; take and record vitals as required.
• Assist residents with personal care, linen changes, and laundry per resident schedule.
• Maintain safe techniques in personal hygiene and grooming; monitor residents' clothing for presentability.
• Occasional night attendant coverage may be required to ensure licensing compliance.
• Always remain on duty and available during a shift, including paid breaks.
• Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for residents and their families.
