Job summary

Sapphire-Health- invites applications for an Activities Aide to enrich residents' lives through engaging programs and compassionate care. This part-time, in-person role offers day and evening shifts, with opportunities to grow within a supportive team.

You will plan recreational and therapeutic activities, encourage participation, and collaborate with the Activities Director to create a welcoming, safe environment for older adults.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in activities, recreation, or working with seniors preferred (not required – training provided).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with older adults.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Encourage participation and adapt activities to meet the interests, abilities, and needs of individuals.
• Support residents’ mental, emotional, and physical well-being through meaningful engagement.
• Assist with special events, group programs, and one‑on‑one resident activities.
• Document attendance and participation as required.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director and interdisciplinary team to create a supportive, fun environment.
