Job summary

Haven of Arcola is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Activity Aide to enrich residents' daily lives through engaging social, recreational, and therapeutic activities. You will work as part of a caring team to create meaningful experiences and support individual care plans.

Responsibilities include facilitating groups and one-on-one activities, planning the monthly calendar, documenting activities, and promoting an inclusive, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a social, recreational, or activities program in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, positive, and resident-focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and individual activities based on residents' needs, interests, and abilities as identified in assessments and care plans.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and special events.
• Assist with planning and maintaining the monthly activity calendar.
• Complete required documentation and recordkeeping in accordance with facility policies.
• Support Resident Council activities and assist with scheduling monthly meetings.
• Follow and maintain established facility policies and procedures.
• Promote a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment for all residents.
