Job summary

Monarch Basking Ridge is seeking a Program Assistant and Van Driver to implement activities for residents across Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care. The role includes planning and delivering programs, and driving residents to appointments and events.

Training is provided for those with a clean driving record and experience with seniors. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of related experience, a high school diploma or higher, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to work flexible

Qualifications

• Experience leading activities for seniors is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Willing to work flexible hours.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and ability to learn new apps.
• Must be able to drive community vehicle for outings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities that meet resident needs and interests.
• Create resident histories and profiles with family involvement.
• Set up and clean up daily activities and events.
• Develop a monthly social program calendar and share with staff and residents.
• Keep residents engaged between planned activities.
• Drive residents to medical appointments, events, and shopping.
