Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is seeking an Activities Assistant to support residents with engaging recreational activities. The role involves planning, organizing, and leading activities, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and recording attendance in a supportive senior living setting.

The position is part-time and hourly, with a focus on flexibility to cover evenings and weekends as needed, in a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CPR/First Aid certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Physical fitness to assist with activities.
• Experience with seniors or disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of senior care or recreational activities preferred.
• Excellent time management and organization.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills for records.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead engaging recreational activities for residents.
• Maintain a clean activities area and van.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during activities.
• Collaborate with team to create a positive environment.
• Keep attendance records for activities.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas.
