Job summary

Food Lion in Raleigh is seeking a Customer Service Associate for the Front End to deliver fast, friendly service and uphold our self-checkout standards. You will greet customers, assist with Self-checkout, and help ensure smooth transactions while maintaining a neat, welcoming store environment.

You will work closely with store leadership to meet front-end standards, train on procedures, and support a positive shopping experience for all customers. Training is provided and a uniform is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and uses their name whenever possible.
• Assist customers on how to use Self-checkouts properly including use of the hand scanner for a Fast and Easy checkout experience.
• Respond timely to customer inquiries and self-checkout system notifications.
• Monitor multiple self-checkouts for proper customer usage including the scanning of all items and the accurate scanning of each item.
• Complete self-checkout voids, age restricted item verifications and any other SCO assist function in accordance with Front End Standard Practice.
