Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Dundalk, MD. The role offers reliable hours at a government maritime transportation site with the option to pick up additional shifts.

You’ll provide customer service, perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while enjoying flexible scheduling, paid training, and benefits as part of a supportive team at Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or other authorized personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and emergency response activities at a government maritime transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and promptly reporting appropriate information.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, parking areas, waterfront‑adjacent areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with verifying authorization for entry, maintaining visitor and vehicle activity records as required by site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
