Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Screening Specialist in Portage, MI. You will monitor access points, screen people and materials, and report security concerns to maintain a safe, compliant environment.

Eligible applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR/First Aid is preferred. Duties include customer service, incident response, and periodic patrols across a logistics site.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent requirement stated.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and vehicles following access-control and screening protocols.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping documents, and report discrepancies to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly per emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility perimeter, loading areas, and parking locations and report security concerns.
