Job summary

Allied Universal® in Portage, MI is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Entry Authorization to protect clients across healthcare and other facilities. You will provide customer service, monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner.

Typical shift is Sat and Sun 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Minimum requirements include being 18+ (21+ for armed roles), high school diploma, background check, and drug screening;

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by applying access control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain access logs.
• Respond to incidents and escalate per site procedures.
• Perform regular patrols and report facility concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and leadership.
