Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time for the Hagerstown, MD area. This flexible, dependable role offers fixed shifts with an option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings, and a base schedule with the potential for up to 40 hours per week.

Pay rate is $17.46 per hour. Responsibilities include screening, customer service, incident response, and regular patrols at the site. A background check and drug screening are required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local law and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and permitted items entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Inspect packages, shipments, vehicles, and/or personal property to identify prohibited, unauthorized, or suspicious items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading zones, access points, and the surrounding perimeter; conditions may vary by location.
