Job summary

Allied Universal in Louisville, KY is seeking a part-time Security Officer Screening Technician to protect clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will operate screening equipment, greet visitors, verify credentials, and maintain a visible, professional presence.

This role offers flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends), training opportunities, and access to smart tools to claim additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or personal items per access-control requirements.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner following post instructions.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify and report security concerns.
