Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Screener in Anchorage, AK. This role offers reliable, fixed hours with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $21.87 per hour. The position features a 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Thursday schedule, with a six-month anchor shift commitment and path to increase earnings by working extra shifts at other sites.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel and the public.
• Screen visitors and belongings using screening equipment and access-control procedures.
• Verify authorized access and direct visitors to appropriate court locations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct patrols of public areas and report unusual activity or conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen visitors and their belongings using screening equipment and established access-control procedures prior to entry into court facilities.
• Verify authorized access, direct visitors to appropriate court locations, and communicate applicable facility rules.
• Respond to incidents, disruptive behavior, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned public areas and entry points to identify and report unusual activity.
