Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Newark, NJ, to provide customer service and security presence at a financial institution. The role emphasizes visible patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.

Qualifications

• State, county, or city security license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas, parking, and perimeter points; report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; document observations and communicate concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate per procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs with professionalism.
