Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer – Access Control in Jacksonville, FL. You will protect clients, monitor entrances, and provide courteous service to employees, visitors, and drivers while upholding site procedures.

The role offers a flexible schedule, including Friday overnight and Saturday shift blocks, with a pay rate of $15.24 per hour.

Qualifications

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
State, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of pedestrian and vehicle activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
Document patrols, observations, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately and report concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
