Job summary

Westin Chicago North Shore is seeking a Security Officer to patrol hotel and public areas, ensuring safety for guests, associates, and ownership. You will monitor assets, assist with emergencies, and document patrols while supporting shipping and receiving procedures.

The role requires night/weekend availability, a valid driver’s license, and adherence to hotel policies; CPR certification is preferred. This is an on-site, overnight position with routine reporting duties.

• Patrol public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and damaged or inoperative safety equipment.
• Log activities and events occurring on shift.

Friday and Saturday Overnight shifts

Physical Demands: Lifting 20 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Talking. Hearing.

Environmental Conditions: Both: Inside and outside. A job is considered “both” if the activities occur inside or outside in approximately equal amounts, approximately 75% or more of the time inside.

Math Skills: Basic math skills may be needed.

Language Skills: English language.

Specific Vocational Preparation: Security Certification is preferred.
