Job summary

Allied Universal in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a part-time Security Officer Patrol Presence to protect clients across industries, including Food/Beverage. You will perform unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, deliver excellent customer service, and report observations with integrity using our standard procedures.

The role offers flexible Day/Time shifts, a starting pay of $18.33 per hour, and access to our Claim a Shift platform to explore additional opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and employee entrances to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
