Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at a technology-focused site in West Columbia, SC. You will conduct patrols, monitor access, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while documenting activities for site leadership.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule with specific shifts and requires at least two years of security experience, with preference for access control and badge handling. A background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and following site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior/exterior areas to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site requirements while maintaining professional interactions.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate with site leadership and Allied Universal management.
