Job summary

St. Joseph Village in Coppell, TX is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to guard the inside and outside of buildings, monitor surveillance, and ensure the safety of residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years previous Security/Law Enforcement experience and supervisory experience.
• Guard card required by hire.
• Ability to provide a valid drivers license.
• Ability to respond quickly in unknown circumstances and remain calm.
• Ability to effectively resolve problems.
• Ability to pass an FBI background check investigation to facilitate licensing by Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau.

Responsibilities

• Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, and co-workers.
• Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards.
• Patrol grounds to ensure no one is on the property without permission.
• Stays in contact with receptionist and other personnel to ensure safety of property.
• Reacts to 911 calls to meet ambulance or fire department at the front gate and escort them to the appropriate building.
• Assists residents who need special care to navigate the property.
• Other duties as assigned.
