Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Richmond, VA to monitor a government transportation site, deter unauthorized activity, and provide excellent customer service. You will patrol, verify entry, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional, calm communication with staff and visitors.

The role offers flexible scheduling with a pay rate of $14.00 per hour, and opportunities to learn company security procedures and safety practices on the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transportation facilities, offices, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate personnel and emergency services.
• Prepare clear activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
