Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston is seeking a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Mobile Driver for reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site, with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $18.75 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required; six-month anchor shift commitment applies. Responsibilities include security procedures, incident response, patrols, and accurate logs.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and operational areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access activity and help maintain awareness of authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering or leaving the location.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
