Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Military Trained Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Sandston, VA. You will monitor banking areas, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting a financial institution.

The role emphasizes flexible, part-time schedules and opportunity to grow within our security team. Minimum requirements include 3+ years in law enforcement, military, or security, plus a related training program or degree.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
