Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Communications in York, PA. The role offers flexible, reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. Ideal candidates have customer service experience, familiarity with access control, and comfort using a computer or tablet. Minimum age 18 (21 for armed) and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, offices, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries, following site procedures for access verification and visitor management.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security‑related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
