Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a part-time Security Guard Enhanced at a food and beverage production or distribution site in Williamsburg, VA. You will provide security, greet employees and visitors, and follow site policies while maintaining a safe environment.

This role offers flexible shifts, a base anchor schedule, opportunities to pick-up extra shifts, and training. You must meet minimum requirements, pass background and drug screening, and have a high school diploma; a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a food and beverage production or distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with maintaining controlled entry to operational and restricted areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
