Job summary

Allied Universal in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced – Part Time Patrol Access Control to provide reliable, flexible hours at a designated site. The role offers base shifts with an option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, helping you earn more while building experience.

Pay rate is $19.00 per hour. You will perform guest service, patrol duties, access control, incident response, and reporting, with a six‑month anchor shift commitment and

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, historic grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and monitoring of entrances, events, and other designated areas to help maintain an orderly environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security‑related observations accurately and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
