Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Tampa, FL. This role offers flexible, fixed shifts with the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Responsibilities include access control, customer service, patrolling, and incident response. A high school diploma and background screening are required; a driver’s license is only required for driving roles.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screening where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor, contractor, and employee authorization, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with controlling access to food and beverage production, warehouse, and distribution areas while reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, business areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
