Job summary

Allied Universal in Tallahassee, FL, is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspector to provide reliable coverage at a technology site. This fixed-shift role offers the base schedule with optional extra shifts through our scheduling platform to boost earnings.

Pay is $16.73 per hour, with daytime hours 11:00 AM–05:00 PM. Minimums include a high school diploma, background check, and drug screening; licensing requirements vary by state.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check may be required by law.
• Drug screen may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a fast-paced technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing authorized personnel and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information during shift transitions, and support a professional environment for all site occupants.
