Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Authorization in Manchester, NJ. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts and grow toward a full-time schedule.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The position requires customer service focus, basic computer use, and adherence to site policies and safety procedures. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor, vendor, and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community grounds, common areas, gates, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and potential security-related concerns.
• Communicate clearly with residents, visitors, management, and responding public-service personnel while maintaining a professional presence.
