Job summary

Allied Universal in Manchester, NJ is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Authorization. The role offers fixed shifts with optional extra shifts via our scheduling platform, and a path toward greater hours up to 40 per week.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, age 18+, background check, and a drug screen. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points and verify authorization and maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the residential community and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity.
