Job summary

Allied Universal, Lansing, MI, seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Screening to provide customer service, monitor access and respond to incidents at a healthcare site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts for more earnings.

Pay rate is $19.00 per hour. Minimum requirements include being 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma, and consent to a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the healthcare location by verifying credentials, following visitor-management procedures, and documenting access-related activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
