Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Lakeland, FL. This role offers reliable built-in hours at a designated site with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

The position features a fixed shift (Wed, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) with a six-month commitment and potential to scale from part-time to up to 40 hours per week depending on needs and availability.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, warehouses, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with employees, drivers, visitors, and site representatives while reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
