Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Management in Jackson, MS. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings on our scheduling platform.

The position pays $14.18 per hour with a day-time shift schedule (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) and requires minimum qualifications including a high school diploma and background check. Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor access control systems, verify identification and authorization, issue or retrieve visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control entry and exit at assigned access points, screen visitors and deliveries as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
