Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Patrol in Durham, NC, beginning as a part-time role with a pay rate of $20.09 per hour. The schedule includes daytime and weekend shifts, with responsibilities for patrols, access control, and incident response.

You will provide security services at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, delivering professional customer service while following site policies.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and emergency responders while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.
