Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Topeka, KS. The role provides reliable, fixed hours at an assigned site with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $17.16 per hour. The schedule includes DayTime Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Responsibilities include access-control procedures, visitor management, and incident response at a food and beverage production location.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access records in accordance with site procedures.
• Screen and direct incoming deliveries, vendors, and contractors to appropriate receiving areas while supporting facility access requirements.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
