Job summary

Allied Universal in Nashville, TN is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time to provide dependable, flexible coverage at a designated site. This role offers stable hours and the chance to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Possess three or more years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government facility personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with government location procedures, assisting with access control and reporting unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
