Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol Reconnaissance position in Whittier, CA. The role offers flexible fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

The ideal candidate has a year of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. Pay is $22.03 per hour with a path toward full-time work up to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A background investigation and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the memorial park grounds, buildings, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to location procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, traffic flow, and parking coordination during services, events, and other gatherings.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and location representatives.
